Katie Dease, OTC, EMT, RT (R)
Katie is originally from San Diego, CA, and she moved to Mammoth Lakes in 2001 – the same year she became a certified EMT. Katie began working at the orthopedic clinic at Mammoth Hospital in 2003; she then became a certified orthopedic technologist in 2005, then going on to obtain national certification in 2009. Throughout her tenure here at Mammoth Hospital she has worked with several orthopedic surgeons including Dr. Perry, Dr. Mast, and Dr. Robinson, as well as our current team of orthopedic surgeons; she has been very excited to see how the orthopedic clinic has grown to its current state as the Mammoth Orthopedic Institute. In addition to her work in the orthopedic clinic, Katie also assists with shifts in the Mammoth Hospital Emergency Department, as well as providing assistance to our orthopedic surgeons in the operating room. She also has gone on multiple trips with Mammoth Medical Missions, providing assistance to disaster struck areas across the world. Katie met her husband here in Mammoth, and they have one daughter together. When Katie isn’t busy here in the orthopedic clinic or spending time with her family, she enjoys reading, hiking, and fishing.
