Biography

Dr. Brown specializes in reconstructive, traumatic and microsurgical upper extremity problems. He also has been an active member of the Scripps Memorial Hospital, La Jolla Orthopaedic Trauma team for over two decades treating fractures, nerve, tendon, and arterial injuries throughout the body. Dr. Brown pursued his orthopedic training at the University of California, San Diego and completed his Hand and Upper Extremity fellowship at Harvard, Massachusetts General Hospital. In addition to a busy clinical practice, he continues to serve in multiple leadership roles in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.

Dr. Brown was one of the first physicians to use Xiaflex, a non-surgical option for patients with Dupytren’s disease, presenting his findings at the American Academy of Hand Surgeons. When he isn’t seeing patients, Dr. Brown enjoys spending time with his family, running, skiing and hiking.
